We are leaving tommorrow towards Marquesas. Intially we think that first we head south or even south east to avoid high on our west side. I think now that we can go east side of catalina islands and then turn South towards guadalube islands.

After 5-6 days (propably on 20 degrees North) we will turn towards south west in order to find the best possible place to cross ITCZ. It seems likely that we will cross equator between 128 and 130 degrees West. After passed the convergence zone we shall head directly towards Marqueasas and if everything goes well we should be there with solid tanning before the end of June.

During the first week our goal average speed is 5 knots which would mean that we would be two degrees closer to south every day. If we really can keep this good speed at light winds is yet to be seen.
