One can sense that you have had a wonderful time in Fiji and are already yearning to return one day to these islands … that are like jewels cast in a vast blue sea. Have a safe journey south!

I’ll try to provide some weather info via mail. There’s
a calm area between Fiji and New Zealand, see if we can
find a route to avoid it..

Hi all,
We arrived Opua 20.11.2011 2.a.m. with red eyes and salty skins… but very very happy. It was a standard passage planned by me – 100% against the wind.We aim to sail to Auckland tommorrow morning under a big weather front that should bring northerly winds – i.e. downwind for us.
We will return to Waiheke and kids will meet their friends at school. Kids are very exited. Oona in particular is very sweet when she clearly thinks about her classmates and the way they receive her when she joins the class in a weeks time.

Great that you arrived safe and sound – I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed!
